ELUKE seeks one part-time temporary candidate to assist in all areas of jewelry production while learning the facets of running a jewelry line from design, marketing and distribution. This is a 3-month trial paid opportunity. Chicago-based. APPLICANTS MUST BE ABLE TO COMMUTE. -------- Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Jewelry production prep (including but not limited to assembly, metal work-hardening, cutting, polishing, finishing and packaging). - Candidates must have at least a beginner's knowledge of jewelry making and know the basics about hand stitching, wire wrapping, beading, stringing, and looping. - Occasional assistance in sample exchange between vendors, suppliers and retailers. - Production and merchandising work experience is preferred. - Strong communication skills and ability to use excel. - Detail-oriented is a must! - Proactive, business-oriented mindset who wants to learn the full cycle of production and distribution. - Must provide 10 hours a week of production assistance.
